Worcester Scientific: Pipped at the post!

We didn’t win, but we had some BIG competition!

Around 40 applications were made to The Engineer: Collaborate to Innovate Awards and Worcester Scientific were shortlisted into the final 4 in the ‘Aerospace, Defense and Security’ category.

We entered St Barts Brewery on the 6th November 2018 and one thing soon became apparent, we were rubbing shoulders with some of the most innovative and technologically advanced companies and agencies the world has to offer.  The awards evening kicked off with a welcome and introduction from a representative of Frazer-Nash, and then we were into the awards ceremony.

Our category soon came around and Worcester Scientific was on the screen for the whole room to see, which feels like a big deal for a start-up like us. The winner of our category was Rolls Royce plc with a project titled ‘Keyhole surgery for Jet Engines’, worthy competition for our  innovative nano-sensor technology.

At the end of the night Worcester Scientific didn’t leave with an award, but we did leave with a huge sense of pride in our company and an unhealthy amount of business cards.

Thank you to The Engineer magazine for hosting a great night, we will see you next year!
